Life is short. Do what you love to do.

_Cherish your visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your%2

I found out yesterday that my dentist passed away the day after Christmas. We had become good friends over the years and it really hit me, because I had been in his office just a few days before he passed away. He was just a few years older than me, and we would often talk about all of the things we would do when we retired. Now he will not do any of those things. So here are a few things that I have been thinking about, since hearing this news. Life is short. Do what you love to do. If you don’t like something in your life, then change it. You are the only one who can. If you are looking for your soul mate, then become the person your soul mate is looking for. Open your mind, it is the only way to learn something new. Open your heart and let down the drawbridge that is keeping everyone else out. Open your arms and hug someone like you mean it. Travel some place new every year. Take out that bucket list that you are saving for when you retire. Go out and do those things now. Dance in the rain, splash in the puddles. Release the wild abandon of your inner child. Live your dreams, Create wondrous events in your life. Succumb to the life you really want, but are afraid to have. Eat chocolate. Drink wine. Laugh often. Be proud of the wrinkles on your face, because they show what a wonderful life you are living. Don’t wait until your are old to wear purple, big hats, and foolish grins.

Inspiration

What does it mean to be inspired?

The dictionary definition that I like the best is: a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation.

I think of it as the act of drawing in breath, breathing in God’s heart and mind.

Like most of us, I have a dream. LemonadeMakers is my vision that pulls me through each and every day. The space it currently occupies is a wide chasm from where I believe it can go. I know, from the bottom of my soul, that this is why I was born. And if I let my mind go wild, it is terrifying to think of everything that I need to do in order to grow it into what it is meant to do.

That is where inspiration comes in. It gives me the confidence to admit I don’t know it all, but I can find someone who does.

It gives me the courage to think outside the box to figure out a way to get everything done on a shoestring budget.

It helps me use my favorite words of improvise, adapt and overcome when I come up against 2 ton boulders that block my way. It gives me super powers to blast those boulders into pebbles and continue on my journey.

It gives me the grace to let someone else take the wheel when I am tired and not think that I have to do it all myself.

It empowers me, refueling my tank when it is low to keep on the path to the next destination.

Inspiration is the key to the kingdom.

Choose

It really is all about what you choose to see, and I choose to contribute to something bigger than I am and because of that choice, I am doing all of the rest. What is the one line you see here that you choose?

Dream

most of us are stuck building everyone’s dreams but our own

Dreams

Having A Dream

“Having a dream is awesome.
Having a dream and showing up every day, even when nothing seems to be happening, is priceless.
But having a dream and showing up every day, while sauntering, winking, and hugging everyone, is when the floodgates begin to tremble.
Hugs, The Universe”

This is awesome, because it says under the music of your dream, that you know like you know, like you know, that your dream is going to come true. You aren’t pushing it to happen and neither are you just sitting on your hands saying, “Oh well if it is meant to be it will just happen.

What you are doing is tilling the soil, planting the seeds, weeding and watering and watching it grow with joy. Because you know that if you plant the seed and take care of it as it grows, that it will grow into what it is supposed to be. You don’t make it grow, you just nurture and provide the best growing conditions that are within your power, and trust in the universal laws that say it will grow into what was planted.

The wonderful things about gardens is that many times when a seed doesn’t germinate for this growing season you go outside the next one and there is a plant from the seeds that were planted last year. Sometimes it takes some time for the right conditions to germinate the seed. What dreams have you planted and forgotten about have come true? What dreams are you growing?

How To Accomplish A Dream

How to accomplish a dream according to John Maxwell:

1) Mental preparation – read and study in areas of your dream. This would be combination of the corporate background that I have and learning more about how a charity operates to understand their current construct and what could be done just a little differently.

2) Experiential preparation – engage in areas related to the dream. I have this in the corporate world to a great extent. but not in Reality TV which is also related to my dream.

3) Visual preparation – create the vision board with pictures and things that show my dream as reality and will inspire me

4) Hero preparation – read about and try to meet people you admire and who inspire you. I am interpreting this to be in the direction of getting in touch with really successful charities and picking their brains as to what works, where they made mistakes, what they wish they had done differently.

5) Physical preparation – get your body into optimal shape to pursue your dream. You all know what I have been doing – new look, released some weight and getting ready for a big push to release more.

What this really says is that following your dream encompasses your life. You can’t leave it to chance. It is not something that is a 9 – 5 job. It is your life. “A dream is what you desire if anything and everything is possible”. And as Gandhi says “If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.”

Action

“As you move toward a dream, the dream moves toward you.” – Julia Cameron

When we take “action” to bring a dream into reality we show the universe that we really want this to be our reality. The universe then kicks into gear with synchronicity to move people, places, and things into our lives with just what we need to make it happen.

Dream

“It is not who you think you are that holds you back, it is who you think that you are not.” Unknown – dream; d is for daring to dream; r is for relentless pursuit of the dream; e is for excellence in what you do; a is for abandoning the alternative and sticking to the dream and m is for measuring your progress towards your dreams.
