Boarding Pass Tickets

I learned something today that I wanted to share with everyone. I always assumed that the boarding pass just had my name and flight information on it. But according to this article the bar code contains a lot of personal information on it – basically everything that you type in when you purchase your ticket is contained in the boarding pass.
After landing, most travelers usually throw away their boarding pass print-outs, or even leave them stuffed in the seat pocket in front of them. Flight’s over — who needs the flimsy document?
The bar code on your ticket alone, if hacked, can reveal:
Your name
Phone number
Email id
Personal address
Frequent flier number
Flight information
So make sure that you safely dispose of the boarding pass after your flight.
