Gifts

“People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and they pass themselves by without wondering.”—St. Augustine

Don’t be afraid to accept your brilliance & stop belittling it. Each of us have gifts that we take for granted, stop a moment to say thank you for your gift that is you.

Influence

“You must constantly ask yourself these questions: Who am I around? What are they doing to me? What have they got me reading? What have they got me saying? Where do they have me going? What do they have me thinking? And most important, what do they have me becoming? Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay? Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” – Jim Rohn

Right Time

“Don’t concern yourself too much with how you are going to achieve your goal – leave that completely to a power greater than yourself. All you have to do is know where you’re going. The answers will come to you of their own accord, and at the right time.” – Earl Nightingale

Emergency Goal Tool Kit

“Successful people decide how they are going to live; they are not victims of circumstance. In good times or bad times, they know where they are going and they know that they are going to get there.” – Bob Proctor

The only thing to add is the emergency goal tool kit – goal map – check; compass – check; emergency light – check; coaches and cheerleaders – check – ready, aim, fire!

Happiness

“Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.” – Guillaume Appollinaire

Labeling

“Whenever encountering a troublesome person, do not identify him as being cruel or stupid or rude or anything else like that. Instead, see him as a frightened person.” – Vernon Howard

This is so true. I am not always successful in not labeling people, but all of us are the same inside. We just wear what we think is armor for protection because we are afraid of being hurt, let down or disappointed again.

Power of Attitude

“When Goliath came against the Israelites, the soldiers all thought, ‘He’s so big we can never kill him.’ But David looked at the same giant and thought, ‘He’s so big, I can’t miss.’”—Ode to Joy

Sums up the power of attitude and right thinking – there isn’t any goal that we can’t achieve if we think outside the box, remain positive, and give it all we got. We can’t miss if we just take aim, and fire.

Laugh

“Every time one laughs a nail is removed from one’s
coffin.” —Honduran Proverb

Take a Chance

“The important thing is not being afraid to take a chance. Remember, the greatest failure is to not try. Once you find something you love to do, be the best at doing it.” – Debbi Fields

Face the fear – false expectations (evidence) appearing real and move past it.

Persistence

“Meaningful lives don’t happen by accident. They require conflict, risk,
striving & overcoming. A good character in a book has to struggle & so
it is with all of us.” – Don Miller

It is about persistence.

Truth

“[People] occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of
them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.” – Winston
Churchill

Sometimes the truth scares us so much we walk away. But there are a few of us that are brave enough to own the truth, make it our own, and change the world. Never, never, never give up.

Ready, Aim, Fire!

“All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, and have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high; one which sometimes seemed impossible. – Orison Swett Marden

Ready – research and determine your goal and a plan, aim – set a time frame to accomplish the goal and see it firmly accomplished in the horizon, and fire – put it into action.
